Request MUG Account Deletion
MUG users can request deletion of their app account and associated data from this page, even if the app is no longer installed.
How to request deletion
- Email support@mowurgrass.com with the subject MUG Account Deletion Request.
- Include the email address or phone number on your MUG account and whether you used MUG as a mowee, mower, or both.
- MUG support may ask you to verify ownership of the account before deletion is completed.
Data deleted or de-identified
After verifying the request and resolving any active jobs, open disputes, or payment holds, MUG deletes or de-identifies account data that is no longer needed, including:
- Profile details such as name, email address, phone number, avatar, bio, and app role details.
- Saved property details, service-area information, addresses, and location coordinates tied to the account.
- Notification tokens, app notification records, saved preferences, and support-only account settings.
- Uploaded profile or job photos where they are not needed for an active dispute, safety review, tax record, payment record, or legal obligation.
Data we may keep
MUG may retain limited records when needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, payment processing, tax, accounting, or legal compliance. This may include:
- Transaction, payout, refund, chargeback, invoice, tax, and Stripe reference records.
- Records connected to active or past jobs, disputes, reports, account closure actions, or safety/moderation reviews.
- Messages, reviews, audit logs, or support records when needed to protect other users, investigate abuse, or satisfy legal obligations.
Retained records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. Payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety, and legal records may be kept for up to 7 years where required or reasonably necessary. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before normal rotation removes them.
Timing
MUG aims to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless an active job, payment issue, dispute, security review, or legal requirement requires more time.
